WHAT IS ICE HOCKEY?
Ice Hockey is a contact sport played by two teams of six in an ice rink. Each team aims to score goals using hockey sticks and a puck. Ice hockey is proving to become more popular and is the official national winter sport of Canada.

COMMON ICE HOCKEY INJURIES
As a physical contact sport, ice hockey comes with high risks of getting injured. The main risk associated with ice hockey is knee injuries from pivoting or being hit by another player. Hamstring injuries and calf muscle injuries are also common from the muscles being overloaded. Warming up before practices and games is important, however injuries can still occur especially if you collide with another player.
