WHAT IS ARCHERY?
Archery is the art, practice/skill of throwing arrows using a bow at a target and trying to hit the target as close to the centre as possible. A person who participates is known as an Archer or a Bowman and an expert can be referred to as a toxophilite. The most popular form of competitive archery worldwide is target archery. A form of archery popular in Europe and America is Field Archery.
